Boardroom presentation

     Matthew Accatatta                                                                           3/21/11

Nike Cushions is the most unique shoe around! Nike Cushions has a red button on the Nike logo, that when you press it something amazing happens. There are actual airbags in the shoe that inflate so you can have more comfort. Also, a cool fact is depending if you are in artificial light, direct sunlight or no light at all, the shoes will change colors.
Nike Cushions are easy to clean. Nike Cushions have a gloss finish that won’t wear off so dirt and mud doesn’t stick on the shoe. The materials that were used to make these shoes, were made out of waterproof materials so they won’t get wet and the shoes are washing machine safe.
The shoes are fun and safe so kids and even adults will love them. The airbags deploy and make you bounce when you walk. Also you could take the shoelaces and tuck them in a compartment in the tongue of the shoe, so you won’t trip over them. The shoe is made so that the rubber sole on the bottom won’t wear away and ruin your shoes. Also on the sole there are elegant and cool designs with outstanding patterns.
Nike Cushions might cost a little more money than other brands of shoes, but it is totally worth it. For each pair of Nike Cushions you buy, 15% of the money goes to a cancer research facility in New York. Something amazing is 92% of people love and prefers this shoe over other models and other brands. Nike Cushions cost 150$, but it doesn’t matter because you will have the most fun in your life with Nike Cushions.
Nike Cushions are the most unique shoe. Nike Cushions have unique features with high performance and safety that that people would love to buy and have. These shoes will be a best seller with their great colors, safety and the amazing price of 150$ for something that has comfort and style packed into them. For these  amazingly made Nike Cushions, people would be wanting them more than anything else and they will definitely sell out.

Persuading Commercial

I think you should put my new product on T.V because it is an interesting and cool thing to have. My product is called Nike Cushions. Nike Cusions is a brand new type of shoe that branches off of Nike. The interseting thing about it is on the Nike logo there is a red button you can push, deciding if you want more comfort( but who doesn't want more comfort?). What happens when you push the button, there are airbags in the shoe hense the name Nike Cushions that inflate in the sole. When you walk it will transfer a wave of energy in your foot which causes comfort. Kids will love it and it will be a great gift for anybody! Also Nike Cushions are great to wear around the house. Nine out of ten people who purchased this kept it and gave good reviews. People will love this shoe and would want to purchase more Nike Cushions. If you were to play this commercial on T.V the sales will increase to I don't know what!

Letter of Recommendation

February 10, 2017

To Whom It May Concern:

It is an honor tow write a letter recommendation on behalf of Matthew Accatatta.  I have had the privilege of knowing Matthew for the last 10 years.  To all who know him, it is evident that Matthew will be a valuable asset to your educational institution.

I am a varsity football coach and I first met Matthew when he was on my freshman football team.  From this moment, I was immediately impressed with his ability to play the game and be a leader.  An example of this ability was displayed when it was the championship game and we were down by three and he got the game winning touchdown.  This is just one of numerous instances in which Matthew has displayed his leadership in football.

Matthew has excelled in and outside of the classroom.  His academic record is impeccable; he has maintained a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.  He has maintained a rigorous course load of college preparatory classes and has been on the honor roll each year in high school.  Outside of the classroom, Matthew has also excelled as a member of the yearbook club.  He has participated in football for the past 4 years and has even served as captain.  His dedication to this sport coupled with his work for the Edison Recreation Department has clearly augmented his high school experience and has served to make him a well-rounded student.

I am certain that the high school experiences of Matthew have prepared him for the rigorous course of study at Rutgers University.  If I can be of any further assistance to Matthew, do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely yours,

Phillip Peters
Varsity Football Coach, Edison High School

Technology today

My generation is living in the information age.  We can get information from the internet, television, and radio at faster rate than our parents could.  Some people believe that too much information is a bad thing.  They believe that technology has made us unable to focus, loss our attention spans, and prevents us from learning about the world and people around us.  I have to disagree with the people who believe this.

I believe that technology helps me to get along better in the world than those who are older than me.  For example, I was in the car with my brother a couple weeks ago and we were lost.  My brother, Mike, had taken a wrong turn and we wound up going into Union.  He had no idea where were going and I was getting nervous because I thought we'd be lost for a long time.  Mike pulled over and used his cell phone to go to Mapquest.  He typed in our location and our home address.  Mapquest gave him the directions home and we arrived there safely, but late.  In the past, people had to either read a map, if they had one, or stop and ask someone on the street for help.  With technology, Mike and I received the information we needed to get home safely.  We didn't have to talk to a stranger or read a map.

From my experience with my brother, I learned that in this case technology was helpful.  I learned a cell phone has another purpose besides just texting my friends.  With the technology of a cell phone, people should feel safe if they are lost.

Welcome to our class, Ms. Carroll

Hi Ms. Carroll and welcome to Herbert Hoover Middle School.  You are in for a big surprise from your new students.  My name is Matthew and I'm in the sixth grade, which you probably already know.  I am the youngest child in my family and the last one to go through HHMS.  I like to play video games, ride my bike, and lately I've been shoveling a lot of snow!  I take the bus to school and if you go to an earlier post you will read that I don't like to ride the school bus.  I have a good sense of humor and sometimes that gets me into trouble.  I do need to be reminded to stay on task.  I can also be a chatterbox, which is what my mother calls me.  I don't like to do a lot of homework so please don't assign any.

At home, I have a puppy named Coco.  My mother named her after Coco Chanel.  I would have named her Snowball because she is all white.  My older brother, Mike, enlisted in the Army and leaves for Fort Sill, Oklahoma on February 14.  My other brother, Chris, is in ninth grade at Edison High School.  My dad sells cars and my mom is an English teacher at Edison High School.

Here in class we have many things to keep us busy.  We are studying about jobs and careers now.  We have been taking tests to see which jobs we would be good at.  I found out that I would be a good federal law enforcement agent.  In class, sometimes it is noisy and sometimes we are quiet.  We have to be quiet when we are taking tests and working on the computers.  Sometimes we get off topic and then we get too noisy.  I think you will like our class.  We are energetic and social.  But we always get our work done.

I hope you enjoy your stay at Herbert Hoover and you learn a lot about being a teacher and about us.  Good luck!

New Years Resolution

The start of the new year is exciting because it means that I get to start the year off with a clean slate. This year, my main resolution is to improve my grades in my classes. Many times I don’t complete my homework and this lowers my average. If I did all my homework, my grades would improve and more importantly, I would understand the concepts better. In order to improve my grades, I will listen more closely in class, not talk so much, and write down my assignments in my planner. At home, I will complete my homework without being distracted. I know if I work really hard I can accomplish my goal.
